Product Functions Description
1. Engine Temperature Meter
- TEMP: Display real-time engine temperature when sensor is connected.range: -20℃ to 300 ℃.
- MAX TEMP: Record the maximum TEMP value since it tested.
- Selectable TEMP units: You can switch the temperature unit as ℃ or ℉.
2.Digital Hour Meter
- TOT: Display total running hours when engine is off. range: 0 to 99,999 hours.
- JOB: Record a hours value during single working period by 2 channels.
- SVC: Perform the regular maintenance tasks. SVC maintenance hours range: 5 to 1000 hours.
3.Digital RPM Meter

The Kawasaki Mule is rugged, but doesn't have many bells and whistles. The "Runleader Digital Engine Temp Gauge Hour Meter Tachometer, Battery Replaceable for Lawn Mower Generator Motorcycle Pit Bike ATV Outboard Motor etc." gives you added information on the operation of your Mule. This is a nifty product.

I perchised this runleader for doing tune ups on my chainsaws, weed wakers etc for idle rpms and high rpms, the temp is just a bonus, all probably also use that if something of mine runs for awhile then starts to act up, at least all beable to check to see if it's over heating.. or the gas is to lean, stuff like that... I haven't tryed it yet but if I have any problems all do a update... so far I recommend this to anyone that's a do it your selfer that works on there own equipment...

With little question, this is one of the best tools I have ever purchased for helping with gas engines!I currently have a small John Deere Lawn Tractor, about 12 years old, and I try and do most of my own maintenance. It's about 20hp and you run the engine a full throttle - you want to go slower, shift down a gear! But for peak tuning, you need to be able to watch the RPM's as you adjust the carb. No other way to this. I do have a large scan tool for the truck, but it just won't work on a V2, 2-stroke. This little does! In fact, it states it will work on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12 and 16 cylinder engines! Not to mention 2-stroke, 4 stroke and 6-stroke! (I have never heard of 6-stroke!)It will tell you the time, the total hours of operation, you can set maintenance times, you can set a RPM alert for too high, a RPM max reading and even current and a stored temperature! This far, far beyond a simple tach reader!It is simple to hook up. One wire wraps around the spark plug wire or the head of the coil. Depends on what the engine you are going to monitor, has as a system. The temperature probe is a simple 3/4" diameter brass "washer" looking thing, with a 1/2" hole in the middle. I just backed out an engine bolt, stuck on an additional washer and tighten everything back up. Done.Mounting this device is proving a bit more of a challenge. In the Runleader operating instructions, there is a reference to an Aluminum Bracket, but it also states it not included. I am just using velcro right now, but I have a problem. I don't want to mount this equipment in a permeant way, because I would like to be able to use it with a few more pieces of gear. (Generator, weed-eater, snowblower) Yes, they all run at a single speed, but it's important to know how far off the general mark an engine is running.Because of the excellent price, I might just have to purchase at least one more, mount this one into the Deere and keep the second one as a "floater" between the other gas engines. I don't want to keep scavenging the Deere to work on the other engines...Bottom Line - It's a terrific RPM gauge. You need this for tuning any gas engine. The other bit of information are nice, too. Temperature, for example. Nice to know if you are overheating at all. The maintenance reminders are nice, although I do keep track of work on paper, too. The unit is waterproof - no worries about the rain - has a bright, clear display, and it costs under $35.00! I believe this to be a fantastic deal! I hope you can still get one of these little guys!

good to have an rpm tach for small engines.my old one died and needed this to tune my carb to achieve the proper rpms which is normally around 3600 rpms
