It isn't accurate at all. The shaft was moving at 3 RPM but this device showed it to be moving with 800 to 900 RPM which isn't true at all. I don't recommend it buying at all.

I added this to a D1105 Kubota Diesel that powers a chipper. Simple and works great. I put it on the face of the crank pulley because it was a flatter spot to mount the magnet.

Used on my mini lathe. Not a precision instrument but reasonably accurate for my needs, especially at speeds above 50 rpm, at 500 rpm plus it was spot on after giving it 15 seconds or so to settle at a constant speed.

This seemed like a good item but there were several things that were made it unusable for my needs.- The RPM is detected by attaching the included high-strength magnet to the rotating shaft/pulley/etc. I ended up attaching it with epoxy to the die-cast pulley. However the readings were very erratic, jumped around a lot and would not settle. They emphasize the 5mm gap maximum and I eventually got it so close that it popped the magnet off but I never got any good readings.- This comes with a battery to power it but the battery is potted right into the case, you will never be able to change it if it goes low. Maybe not an issue if it runs for 20 years or so, just something to be aware of.I didn't bother returning it since the price was so low, but I can't recommend it.

Installed on old 6.5 diesel and am happy with its function. Good for diagnostics and gear shifting/tcc lockup rpm levels.Will not use it as a full time tach but as a diag tool mostly.

Fil pas assez et le Magnet pas assez puissant pour affronter la force centrifuge de rotation, il ne reste pas adhéré à l'axe.

Verarbeitung doch gut arbeitet auch Problemlos ,,Aber'' zeigt die ,,Doppelte '' Drehzahl an und so für mich nicht zu gebrauchen . Da ich zwei Geräte gekauft habe und das zweite Gerät auch die Doppelte Drehzahl Anzeigt denke ich das es am Gerät liegt denn es wurde auch an zwei Maschinen getestet Fräse und Drehbank und wenn die Voreingestellte Drehzahl an der Maschine im Wert sich verdoppelt kann etwas nicht Stimmen .
