Any 50A extension/RV cord are not inexpensive in the 50 ft length. This one is about on par for pricing. It is very well constructed. The plug and receptacle ends are molded of heavy plastic with nice grip handles. The sheath of the cord is a vinyl type material and seems adequate. Since it is a vinyl material it will tend to be a bit stiffer in cold weather than rubber coated ones. The RED/GREEN LEDs in the source side (male plug) is really handy to let you know if there is a major wiring fault on the source side before you hook up the load. A lightweight storage bag is included as well as a reusable cord strap so you can minimize storage space. This is a really good configuration of cable. I can use it as a straight extension cord for my RV power, or with the addition of a 50A to RV adapter, it will also serve as the main power cord. This way I can carry my regular power cord and this cord and have the benefit of 3 separate cords (ext. cord, main power cord, AND backup power cord).

The cord is very well made and I look at the quality and durability of the over molding of the ends. Also, I check for weird or strange odors- none here. This extension cord does a great job in this area so it passed the first quality check with flying colors. The rest of the cord is just as well made and is very good quality.

I'm really happy with this 50A extension cord - solid feel, ETL listed, great handles, LED status lights, and properly rated wire (3x6AWG + 1x8AWG, 60°C, 600V). It weighs in at nearly 33 lbs! I'm currently using it with my Tesla charger, but my real plan to use it with my RV once out of storage.

Very high quality heavy gauge wire. This cable is a choker, it’s definitely good for 50 amps. The plugs are great quality and connect firmly. Could not be easier to use. Rolls out and lays flat. Good price for what you get.
