I purchased these to use for water bowls in my pot belly pigs house. Even though they aren't as thick as the higher priced ones I've purchased before, they have worked as intended. I keep two water bowls in their house (these are perfect size), and since the boys love to push on their water bowls (typical pig habit!!!), and push them over, I bought three, fastened two to the floor, and then set the third, as well as another (of the higher priced bowls I already had), inside the ones fastened to the floor. Fixed the problem because they are sturdy enough to keep them from tipping the water bowls over. So much, in fact, they've stopped even attempting to do it!!! YAY!!! I do recommend these. There is, of course, an initial smell to them, but it doesn't take long for the smell to be gone. Seemed to with every washing. I do recommend these for a multitude of purposes, and seem to do great with all types of animals!

I purchased these containers to create clean water for birds in my back yard in winter. Annually, WI gets below 0 degrees each winter in January. I purchased a heatr that keeps at least part of the water liquid. Since they came in a three pack I use one heated in winter and rotate the other two for the other months when the temperature is always above freezing. I have a clean one to switch out weekly. I like to watch the birds with my morning coffee and newspaper. It’s a daily treat inside or out!
