This little mortar and pestle is really great!! It is very sturdy and came in a nice package. I seasoned it with dried rice and gave it a good wash. I've used it on dried herbs for making tea bags and it's perfect size. I have a larger one and it's just too big for little mash up like that. I was nervous based on the majority of the reviews but I'm glad I went with this one. Maybe it's pick of the draw but Id recommend it for little works for sure.

While searching for a mortar and pestle I noticed the measurements were always gives so when I checked with a ruler, I realized many were for grinding pills but would be too small for easily grinding herbs. This one seemed perfect and it is. Just beautiful, sturdy and fits nicely in your hand or on the counter. The opening is just wide enough for both small and larger items. If you are looking for an item like this make sure to check the measurements so it is the right size for what you want to grind.

I don't know how I lived so long without this! I have to crush pills to liquify for my pups who won't take pills/capsules and this has made my life so much easier. I used to crush them with a spoon but it was messy and inefficient. It's also easy to clean. Love it!

Just received this mortar and pestle and I'm very happy with the product. It is small, as expected, but all I need for grinding dried herbs. The mortar measures 3 1/2" outside diameter and 2 7/8" inside. The pestle measures 4" long with a 1 1/4" diameter in the bottom. It's a very attractive looking little set, and I'm sure it will be durable and easy to wash. Good value for the price.

I use it mostly to crush black pepper and other whole spices, and it works well for that. Do consult a ruler first, it is small!
