The stated dimensions of the Saiyin Model DS6700M speaker are 8.1" x 5.0" x 6.3 inches. I estimate each speaker weighs a little less than 2 lbs. I measured 8-3/16" (H) (including the rubber feet) X 5-1/16" (W) X 6-5/16" (D) (with 3/8"grille attached). Manufacturer's Specifications: Passive bookshelf speaker with 3.5 inch woofer and horn tweeter. Crossover frequency: not specified. Impedance: 4 ohms, SPL: 78dB. Frequency Response: 60Hz to 20kHz. Recommended amplifier power: 5 to 30 Watts (per speaker).Each speaker comes with four flat hard rubber disks attached to the bottom of the speaker. The speaker terminals are color coded, spring loaded and designed to accept 18 gauge, perhaps as large as 16 gauge bare wires. There is a metal hanging bracket on the back of the speaker to facilitate wall mounting. This Siayin passive bookshelf speaker is perfectly sized for use on a desktop, shelf, speaker stand or for wall mounting.I played the Saiyin speakers for a few hours to break them in. The sound improved the longer they played. Still, the overall tonal balance emphasized the upper frequencies. All of the audio products I used for this review are currently available from Amazon. I powered the Saiyin passive bookshelf speakers with the Fosi Audio TB10D amplifier with the provided 32V/5A power supply. I used a WiiM Ultra for streaming Spotify. The TB10D amplifier, with the stock power supply, provides ample power to drive the Saiyin speakers to the rated 78dB, perhaps a bit over 80dB. At no point did I push the Saiyin speakers or the TB10D amplifier into audible distortion. The speaker's efficiency is not stated. I found the efficiency of the Saiyin passive bookshelf speaker to be higher than average.The bass and treble tone controls of the TB10D amplifier can be used to improve the tonal balance. I achieved better equalization results using the WiiM Ultra's graphic equalizer by applying the Small Speaker equalization curve. I also experimented with the WiiM Ultra's Room Correction function. Note: All current WiiM music streamers and amplifiers (except the WiiM Mini) include the WiiM Room Correction function. The WiiM Room Correction significantly improved the tonal balance, clarity and even imaging of the Saiyin passive bookshelf speakers. Although the WiiM Mini does not support Room Correction it is possible to perform the Room Correction function using, for example, the WiiM Ultra, and then manually write down the equalization settings after performing Room Correction for use with the WiiM Mini.The WiiM Room Correction (before correction) in-room frequency response curve showed that the low frequency response of the Saiyin passive bookshelf speaker to be flat to below 100Hz, even down to 80Hz, with a smooth roll off at lower frequencies. I have not yet tested the SaiYin passive bookshelf speakers with a subwoofer. In my listening there is audible output down to 60Hz, even a bit lower, without a subwoofer. For deep bass that you can feel you would need to use a subwoofer.The small front baffle of the Saiyin passive bookshelf speaker no doubt helps to minimize diffraction. The sides, top and bottom of the Saiyin passive bookshelf speaker cabinet resonated when knocked. I do not believe there is any acoustic baffle material inside the speaker cabinet. Still, at my listening levels I did not detect any audible cabinet resonances. With equalization or room correction the Saiyin passive bookshelf speakers can provide very pleasing, non-fatiguing sound.I assembled a complete, shoe-box sized, audio system including the Saiyin passive bookshelf speakers, the Fosi Audio TB10D amplifier and the WiiM Mini (each available separately from Amazon). The Saiyin passive bookshelf speakers are intended for indoor use (the manufacturer does not state that the speakers are rated for exposure to damp environments or for outdoor use.) I don't know if the Saiyin passive bookshelf speakers can play loud enough or handle enough power to be the front or main speakers in a large room or in a large home theater system.

Ultimately you get what you pay for but after a few hours with these I can say they exceeded my expectations. I had been without a speaker setup for a while. I found I still had my little TDA7498E amplifier so I gave these a try and I'm glad I did! Their low price and small size are what sold me but they actually sound quite good, too (for what they are). Just don't expect them to fill a large room with sound.I'm using them on my desktop, each about 3' from my ears in a carpeted room. I mostly listen to rock and electronic music at low-moderate volume. I'm no audiophile but I have owned nicer, bigger speakers than these. That being said, I'm enjoying these speakers! I can still get "lost" in the music. The clarity and range is impressive at this price. The highest frequencies are a bit muted and you won't get much bass from the 3.5" drivers but it's there. The cabinets are ok - approx. 1/2" thick MDF not braced/reinforced and there is some resonance at higher volumes. I just couldn't resist opening up one of the speakers. It's a real 2-way speaker system but lacks a "real" crossover. There is simply an HP filter; the woofer and tweeter are wired together with a capacitor and resistor in line with the tweeter and glued to the back of it. The woofers and tweeters themselves are just marked Saiyin/4 Ohms/power rating. I'm sure I will have fun modifying these speakers in the future. For now, I'm enjoying them as they are.

These are well built shelf top speakers that sound great at a good price. I use them with my home theater surround sound, and I highly recommend them!

They sound good.I bought these for my shop stereo, now understand that I only have it 4 stars so far, that should change after the breaking in period has completed. That being said, even “if” they don’t change sonically during this time frame I’d be happy with them.The midrange is perfect for me. Most speakers are made to exaggerate the bass or treble, however my happy place is in voices and piano, so these speakers are in that sweet spot.The price is perfect so what’s not to like?

I've been using these speakers for about six months, and they’ve been fantastic. The sound quality is really good—clear, rich, and well-balanced. Controlling them with the included controller is super easy. I use them on my PC, and they fit perfectly for my daily needs. It’s no surprise that this product has now become a #1 best seller—good quality always stands out in the end! Definitely worth it!

I had a pair of Dual speakers and a woofer with a small class D amplifier on my living room to use with the TV and listen to music via BT, they were ok but lacked a lot of clarity, especially on dialog forcing me to raise the volume on the TV quite a bit to understand spoken part and could not EQ them. that prompted me to buy these speakers, they are much better than the previous pair, the have better bass response, more clarity, better trebles and a very pleasing appearance. I personally like the fact that even without a center channel I'm able to listen and understand spoken part even a lower volume, I took some time to EQ them and got a flat response from 100 Hz to 20,000 Khz and by adding a small 8" woofer I was able to extend the flat response to 40 Hz as a test I played Pink Floy wish you were here and Pulse, Blue Man Group The complex, Chicane Behind the Sun, CCR Bayou country, and some Dua Lipa, Watched Transformers Dark side of the moon, Saving Private Rian, Inception, How to train your dragon II, Gladiator, 13th Warrior, and series Bleach TYW, Shangri-La Frontier, Death Note, to name a few (that i think would represent the audio diversity these speakers can handle) and very please, I'm planning to buy 2 more and a quadraphonic amplifier and build a new subwoofer tune to 20 Hz and to me that will be glorious

I replaced my old Surround Sound Receiver, with an inexpensive Receiver to handle my TV Viewing Sound. Not needing expensive speakers, I chose this model for price, and reviews. I must say I'm surprised at just how good these speakers are. First up was how it handled the sound from my TV. Excellent!!! Next up was how it handled music. These speakers handled that as well. Overall I'm very impressed with the sound of these speakers, in fact when I'm ready to upgrade my computer, I think I'll keep these speakers in mind, to hook to my old Pioneer Amp receiver, that is currently hooked up to my computer. Well Done Saiyin!!!Update: I love these speakers so much, I bought 4 more just for playing my music and Internet Radio on my computer.
