I ordered the Sealproof 2-Gang Weatherproof In Use Outlet Cover to protect a south-facing outlet on a house along the coast, so the outlet is exposed to weather plus wind and salt air. The cover is well constructed with every conceivable part needed for different applications. The Sealproof 2-Gang Weatherproof In Use Outlet Cover is a little light on directions, but there are so many configurations that detailed instructions might not be possible. There is the assumption that if you are installing one of these you will know what you need.

I have this for my water feature and it works great. The cover keeps out the rain and snow. I have had it for about a year and it looks new.

The outlet cover was easy enough to install. It will prevent splash water to get into the electric outlet. However, if there is extensive water spray, it will not keep the water out. Around the clear cover, there are no rubber seals and neither are there any seals around the separate covers to attach to the outlet. I have issues with insects in my yard also. These covers will not keep ants and other little bugs out since there is numerous hole in the covers that will have to be sealed by silicone or something. In comparison, I attached a picture of a European waterproof outlet cover. Nothing gets into that..

Sealproof 2-Gang Extra Deep In Use Outdoor Outlet CoverI had previously had a "normal" depth outdoor outlet cover. It looked like the cords were kinked in order to close the cover. After a Google search that produced a lot of pricey alternatives, I settled on this as close to what I was replacing and very reasonably priced.Installation was mostly easy. The only negative was the cover dropping in the way while attaching to the wall. It would have been nice to be able to remove the cover; otherwise, easy. After installation, I found it was relatively easy to remove the cover; wishing I had done this for the installation. (See pics.)The end result is much more room in the outlet and no more kinked cords. It is exactly what I wanted.

This was the perfect cover to protect little fingers of our clients. It was easy to install. For a DIYer, it could have included some instructions. We really love it!!

Needed a weather proof cover for my two gang plugs at the pool. Fit my GFCI and companion plug without issue. Easy to open to access the cords.
