Installed this in a drop ceiling in a 24x24' room on a 9' drop ceiling. Works very well with activating on pretty small movements. Only flaw I have is it gets triggered in middle of the night by the heaters coming on. There's no way to adjust sensitivity to motion, just ambient light and how long its on.

This is my second purchase of this product - which tells you I think it is worth buying. If you are not at least a little bit handy you might have trouble installing this switch as there are two minor deviations from US standards.First, the color coding of the wiring is not the US standard for switches that are offset from the main line to a lamp (that is, the switch is at the end of a spur off the wire feeding power to the lamp) That standard is to use a 3 wire (plus ground) cable for the spur with Black=Hot, White=neutral, and (typically) Red=return of the hot signal to the main line. In this device the three colors are brown, blue, and red. Please read the included documentation to see how to use these 3 wires (if you can't do that you should not be installing this yourself). The other oddity is that the screw holes in the base plate (not shown) are not spaced to attached to US standard junction boxes. That was easily fixed by drilling an extra hole in the plastic base plate but again, if you are not at all handy, this could throw you.

It works and it’s cheap. Although, after a year of use in my garage I’m often frustrated. It works better during the cold months, not well at all when space is hot. It’s passive infrared sensor doesn’t differentiate body heat from all the other hot surfaces in my garage. But, the one I installed in a bedroom closet works great!FYI - Installing the sensor over a typical plastic single gang cut-in box reveals the box is larger than the diameter of the sensor. In my photo the corners of the box are visible. A round cut-in box would have been a better choice for this application in my closet.

I have one high hallway light that I tried two other expensive motion detection sensors. Neither were reliable. This model worked perfectly since installed and has been flawless for nearly six months. I can’t recommend this unit highly enough. It seems as though it would have no problem being mounted outside in the elements, but I haven’t tried that. Also, I haven’t tried large outdoor spaces. What I can tell you is that this detector has been rock solid.

This thing only worked for two weeks. The light turned off after few minutes as expected, but a second after it turns on and never turn off again. This is inside a closet so no movement inside the closet after doors are closed. I am not returning this because the time to be spent returning it is not worth it, I am just throwing it away.

Sensitivity can be a bit funky but once you figure it out, it works good. I’m buying another

I was concerned that the sensor would be too sensitive -- from what others were saying -- but it's not. I use it in the basement where the light switch is all the way across the room, but sometimes I need to put a light on in the room before, just so the sensor can 'see' me. Still, I love it and would buy again if I needed to. Highly recommended!

Not worth the money, the sensor went bust in just 3 days of use. Last night it switched on with no one walking in the lobby where I have installed.Despite the proximity sensor adjustment it switches on Iin broad Daylight and at night when no one is walking. Not worth the money.I had bought it thinking Amazon would ha e a solid quality control.earnt the hard way it is not. Will go for more branded and expensive product like Schneider ARGUS.

It works the time setting and sensitivity setting works but night and daylight setting doesn't work so light comes on on broad day light
