It is the perfect size for rolling out tortillas. It is small enough for single hand rolling.It appears to be untreated so I oiled it.

Excellent quality for the price! We used them to roll out air dry clay and it did a great job. The clay did not stick to the pin.

To tell you the truth, 6 inches is too small to use, and the diameter is too small.They are adorable, so giving them to my grandchildren to use, when making their own cookies.

I watch Girl Meets Farm all the time with Molly Yeh and I wanted small rolling pins just like hers. These are awesome to use and so easy to clean.

Might have been bad luck, but mine arrived looking really filthy underneath the shrink wrap, and the exposed wooden end of one of the rolling pins was covered in some kind of dark gray dust or dirt or mold or something.

The surface is not smooth, if you are buying it for you kids to use, I wouldn't recommend.
