Great product. Wish I found it years ago. Simple set of magnets will locate the nail heads within walls so you can easily find the studs. No batteries so you don't have to deal with dead batteries if you use it infrequently. Actually, more accurate than any electronic stud finder I have used in the past.

Got this upon recommendation from a DIY magazine when dealing with old plaster walls. Normal stud finders don't work because the plaster, etc is too thick for it to sense the nails in the stud. This is supposed to use a rare earth magnet to pick up the fainter signal of nails on the lathe behind the plaster.Apparently my plaster is thicker than normal (from the 1940s) and this finder can't locate the nails either. Just a heads up for plaster owners. Otherwise this is a 5-star tool: really nice tool, good grip, seems well made with thoughtful engineering, will never need battery replacement. I'm keeping it just in case I ever have drywalls to deal with because my standard stud finder had problems even with that.

Wow, I got this little tiny thing and thought uh oh. My Wife rook one look and laughed at my stupidity for buying it.So I went went to find a stud. Holy cow! this tiny thing is AWESOME. Where has this been all my life? Found three studs for my Murphy Bed project in about two minutes. If you run out of hands it just sticks to the wall waiting for you to get your act together...and no batteries required, it is all magnets.Absolutely fantastic new tool! Incredible value for money.

This one is more powerful than the usual little cheap stud finder you can get in the big box store but, not nearly as strong as a very similar one I bought years ago. It'll do, but.......

I had one of these before and it worked great finding studs when I installed a wall mount for my TV. Ended up losing mine so ordered again. Great for finding studs through drywall. Since it uses magnets no need to worry about battery life. Perfect small size and lightweight. Super simple and fast easy way to find studs.

Easiest stud finder I have ever used. No more false readings and guessing like the digital versions. Unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars for the xray stud finders this is the best bang for your buck. It is also very compact with super strong magnets.

slide it back and for until it picks up a screw or nail head, will pick up steel studs in 1/2" drywall, works great, no more batteries!
