I'm new to solar charging. Pretty easy to hook up. Simply plug in the solar panel and connect the battery. Toggling through the display, you can see the battery voltage and amperage charging the battery. I hooked up my DVM between the charging controller and the battery and the amperage shown matched. The voltage matched as well. Amperage dropped when the battery was full.
