I recently used a battery spot welder, and overall, it’s been excellent! The initial instructions were a bit confusing, but with a few helpful YouTube videos, I quickly got the hang of it.I used this spot welder to replace batteries that had a coating making it impossible to solder to the sides. The spot welder worked perfectly for this task, allowing me to make strong, clean welds with ease.Once I figured out how to use it, the performance was fantastic. It made the battery replacement process much smoother and more efficient than soldering.Overall, I’d give this battery spot welder five stars. With a bit of guidance from online resources, it’s a reliable tool that gets the job done effectively.

Works perfectly. It’s a little tricky to hold the probs and the hit the weld button. But it does have an automatic mode. Once you get used to it.

This product is really handy and definitely value for money, you just need to be aware that it won't do thick nickel strip. Works well about 0.15mm and you would be pushing to do 0.18mm. I also give it a rest now and then as the leads get quite warm. I will normally do about 30 spot welds and then have a break for 5-10mins before going again.

I bought this a few years ago back when it had 6 "gears". It worked ok back then but was underpowered. I think I used it a total of 2 times back then. I went to go use it again and it now no longer has enough power to weld even the thinnest nickel strips. now I have to buy another one that is more powerful and not cheap garbage. This isn't even high enough quality for a hobbyist that uses it every once in a while, because now 3 years later it is completely useless... it is complete trash that will just disappoint you over and over again. you know what they say, you get what you pay for. Also important to note: It will NOT weld pure nickel strips at all, the only thin I have been able to weld with it is the fake "nickel" strips that come with the welder. I bought separately some 0.1x8mm nickel strips (the thinnest kind that even the weakest welders should be able to weld) and it can't weld them unless you hit the same spot 3 times.

I read other people's reviews and I was a little scared. But, I bought it anyway. I love it! It has worked great for me. I have been using .1mm nickel strips on setting 3, for 18650 batteries, and it works great. I have not used the thicker .2mm strips that were supplied with the unit. I thought there would be a loud "pop" like I was TIG welding or something. Nope. Very small flash and a small puff of smoke. This is great for hobbyists like myself that don't like to see electronics (laptop batteries, handheld radios, vape pens, etc.) go to waste because of dead batteries. If you have a need for a light duty spot welder, I recommend this one!

The battery won't last for larger packs and a pack with around 140 cells required multiple charge cycles. After welding 5 or 6 times the electrodes become too hot to comfortably hold and by 10 to 15 it starts to burn without gloves. Great to start learning to spot weld but for a larger pack it really hurts more than the money you save for going cheap

I did not know a battery powered spot welder exist until I saw it on Youtube. I was not very convince, but decided to purchase it for my cordless vacuum battery replacement. Thanks to Youtube for showing how it works, I get an idea how it works. However, the first time is somewhat startling when it made the spark. After a few tries, I got a hang of it. The welder made 2 welds (one at each contact points). Surprisingly, the weld is sturdy. I pull the batteries apart but could not. I finish my batteries replacement in less than half hours with this tool. The welder battery level still indicate full charge.Overall, it is a great tool for DYI project involving battery replacement. I am glad I saw it on Youtube and purchase it. It was worth the investment.

Would not weld even on highest setting and using the nickel strip supplied with welder. I even tested with my own 100% nickel strip and would not weld. I should have taken note of the online reviews I read first. Save your money.

It works really well with the roll of metal that comes with the kit but doesn't have the power to spot weld anything thicker.

If youve never built a Li-Ion battery pack before, then this little welder will be super helpful. To easily strap your batteries together, get this handy little unit. Works like a charm.
