Need sanding to fit. Otherwise good. Cheap fix for my 99 passat 1.8t Valeo alternator.

These brushes are too big to be OEM replacements for the 90amp Valeo alternator I was fixing off a 2001 VW Jetta Wagon, but with a little careful filing they fit just right. One star off because they aren't a perfect fit, but a little time and effort got the alt fixed for only $7 compared with buying a reman for $70+ or brand new for $140+. Even if the brushes aren't the problem, for this price it's worth a shot before replacing a voltage regulator or buying another unit IMHO.
