I decided to get into gunpla and thought these glass files would do just fine, and they turned out better than expected! Here's some of my thoughts as a beginner. For the design:I was split between the four and the three pack but decided to get the three pack for the different set of grits. Honestly, I might recommend the four pack for the ease of use on getting the files where you want them but if you do go with the three pack, there's some upsides with the patterns they use on the fine grit in particular. You can really get in there with the corners and ends of the file. The four pack only has the traditional pattern and super fine grit so mileage may vary there as well. Also, I knew they were small, but they were smaller than I thought. At about the width of a sharpie, coupled with the fine grit cross hatch design, they are decent and I look forward to using them again. Some words to other beginners:I was expecting on only using the coarse and super fine grit but I actually rarely used the S.F., the coarse here and there, and used the fine on everything else. If you want a polished shiny look the super fine did a great job but for my use case, the polish made the spot where the nib was too shiny and I'd rather not have random spots stand out. Also at first I was very sheepishly cutting the nibs long and lightly filing them down from coarse to fine/s.f. but by the end I was cutting relatively close and just using the fine to shave off the last bit just to save some time. All of the files did a good job of removing material so don't think to hard about it, just do whatever's comfortable. All in all I expect to get some good mileage out of these little files and recommend them to anyone getting into gunpla. Do I think these are the only files you'll need, for a while yes but I wouldn't knock either getting both sets or trying out other brands to broaden your horizons but for starters, I highly recommend these.

I am used to using metal files or sandpaper to clean up my models and minis, but when i saw this I was willing to take a risk. They are made from Glass, and are best suited for finishing work not hogging off lots of materiel. The ultra fine groves will fill quickly, so have a soft bristled toothbrush and a container of water on hand to clean it with as you work. My only complaint is the squeaking sound that it makes from time to time, a sign that you are either being too forceful or it's time to clean it.Again, these are glass, so be gentle with them and they will serve you well.

I'm a beginner and it helps to smooth out the leftover pieces. These do a great job once you get used to them as I didn't realize the super fine file works best in one direction unlike the other two.

Works perfectly for those plastic nubs. When sanding down nubs on gunpla kits. All 4 files are the same grit. Only problem is that it doesn't work well. On inside curved parts.

These incredible glass files are perfect for the final touches on plastic and metal models alike. As you can see they are rated to #10000 grit, and come in three shapes, two lengths (the shorter being a second square tip file). Being made of glass means that a lot of force to try and grind off large amounts of material can chip the teeth of the file (stick to metal files for that kind of work) but being glass means that most plastic and metal model items will have little to no effect on the file itself. To clean them, a soft bristle brush and water will work fine. The one downside is that the files are single side, limiting use time; especially with soft materials.

These could gloss a piece of gravel I swear. Totally underestimated what I was going to get.

These files are amazing. If you've ever gotten glue on an aircraft canopy, you know that's pretty much it... the clear plastic is hopelessly clouded. UNTIL YOU FILE IT WITH THEESE!!! As long as you attack the blemish in one direction, and by that I mean the same direction relative to the blemish AND lifting up and resetting the file's position back to the original position (NOT going back and forth!), and run through all 4 grades of grit, you can remove the cloudy spot. There WILL be a slight warping or lensing effect, but it's a small price to pay to make the plastic clear and shiny again. These files were a game changer for my scale modeling. I highly recommend!

I got these not expecting the results. When you polish something with them the finish comes out super shiny! I honestly don't know how they do it,the surface feels rough like sandpaper but the result is super smooth. I don't think they're as good for material removal though maybe, so you might still need some sandpaper for removing lumps and bumps, then use these for a final pass.
