I like the simple rugged natural look of the cover, and the nice crisp white solid paper. What's cool is that the cover is the same on both sides, so when I'm done journaling on one side, I can continue journaling on the other side of each page. The paper is thick enough to not see through the ball point pen writing. Maybe I'm just weird, but I really dig these notepads/sketchpads??? Mmmmmmaybe. Happy New Year! I use this to take notes with my fountain pen. Love the size. Love the paper as it is heavy and not thin. Because I'm using a fountain pen, there is a little bit of show through to the back side of the paper, but it's still great. Very happy with the quality and the thickness of the paper. The paper isn't shiny smooth as I didn't want it like that. My fountain pen writes really well on this paper. Perfect!

After trying quite a few different notebooks, various sizes and companies, this one comes out on top for a good sturdy back cover for support, good smooth writing paper, and a convenient size. I also like that it's bound at the top. Easy to use and easy for transcribing notes.

The covers are nice and sturdy; no difference between back and front though. No line in the middle of the pages like a normal stem pad. Quick delivery.

I'm hesitant to call these steno tablets. They are very well made and the paper is beautifully thick. There's no center stripe, so my office practice teacher would not have allowed us to use them in shorthand class. But, now that I no longer have to answer to Mrs. Ryan, I can buy and use these quality tablets any time I want. They have become my tablet of choice. I enjoy writing in them so much that I bought a fountain pen. I can't imagine writing on them with a ballpoint. These tablets are definitely for those of us who think longhand has become a lost art.

I use the lined version of these notepads for my daily to-do lists. They stand up remarkably well to all kinds of ink, highlighters, marker, etc because the paper is very thick and sturdy. When I saw that only the blank page version was available when I tried to repurchase, I reached out to the seller and they replied very quickly with information about when the lined version would be back in stock. I was very impressed with not only the item itself but the customer service from the seller. I will keep buying these notepads as long as they are for sale and recommend them to people constantly!
