I was dubious about the this stud finder's reviews. But the price was super cheap so I figured what the heck, Well this little gizmo is the best and most ingenious magnetic stud finder I have ever used. It stays in place once the stud if found so you can easily mark the spot. And it's small and convenient to carry.

The picture shows TWO units but I only received ONE - possibly the photo was showing the front and back of the same unit. But, this is quite deceptive, and looks like 2 of the stud finders were included.Testing the unit, it works ok, but the magnet should be stronger. The unit barely indicated the presence of some of the screws and the unit did not stay stuck to the wall. Possibly, these screws were embedded a bit deeper.

Not as easy as described. It took a lot of tries to find the stud. It got pretty frustrating.

If you have ordinary drywall installed with nails or screws, this is a great way to find a stud.It's less expensive than a good digital stud finder. It's magnetic and stays in place to mark the stud. Even better, it doesn't require calibration or much technique.About the worst part is the hard plastic back. If it gets scuffed in your toolbox, it might scratch the next surface you use it on. I stick it on the inside lid so nothing can hit it easily.

This tool does work but I was expecting a stronger magnet and a little bit more aggressive "POP" when it would find a screw.
