This is a great stud finder for finding Sheetrock screws and other ferrous materials behind Sheetrock. Very small and easy to use. Felt a little expensive for the money at the start but I have used this so many times that it’s absolutely been worth the price. Function is simple: run the rubber back against the wall and it will stick to the wall directly over a screw. It has worked every time for me. Fantastic purchase.

That flexible band is what makes it work. It'll hover off the wall and then suddenly tap, and you found a screw/nail. If you use the bare magnet side against a light colored wall, it'll leave a mark sometimes, which is easier than grabbing a pencil. If you don't love that feature, the other side has a plastic bumper.Also, it's just one of the more powerful magnets I have around, so I find myself reaching for it for all sorts of reasons--Picking up a screw I dropped; Holding paper to the wall.A very simple tool, but it's really nice to use.

I've spent lots of money buying electronics stud finders and this is the simplest most accurate way I've found and almost 30 years in the trades

I work in construction and usually use my level to find screws in studs which sometimes can scratch the finished product. Not with this it works better and quicker thanks to the strength of the magnet. Makes getting the job done faster ensuring I never get laid off.

VERY strong magnet. It WILL find the nail and therefore the stud or rafter tail you are looking for. That's the good news. The bad news is, it WILL stick to anything ferrous metal in your tool box. Kind of a hassle, but I still love it. I lost it yesterday and finally found it hanging off my belt buckle, LOL. The other downside I didn't anticipate is you better be very careful with it around any magnetic recording media like a cassette tape or magnetic recording tape of any kind, or a credit card that still uses a magnetic strip and not a chip. I'm sure this magnet would instantly erase any of those.

This proved extremely helpful in locating screws in a drywall ceiling for removal. Made the job much easier!Not high tech and worth every penny for time saved!

I like the unit, very powerful magnet and easy to use. Pricey, but I hoped to mitigate that by ordering the 2-pack and discovered it wasn't eligible for free shipping, so with shipping the 2-pack would end up costing pretty much the same per unit as just buying the one.

If you’re a builder, remodeler, homeowner that ever does any work on your home, this is a tool kit must have. It works really well and accurately. The magnet is strong and makes it very clear where the screws or nails are! The only problem you’ll have is it will stick to things in your tool belt! A must have in my book and a 1000x more useful than a hand held electronic gadget.

The best stud finder ever invented. I have bought several for gifts. I leave it stuck on my wall and it has become quite a conversational piece.
