What is A Surface Marker Buoy?
Surface marker buoys (SMBs) are simple, effective and safe diving equipment used by both amateur and experienced divers, also known as diving marker buoys.
Surface marker buoy shows that a diver is down and alerts the surface to exactly where you are in the water. They are any kind of inflatable device which will float at the surface of the water and can be seen either from the shore or the boat.
Our SMBs has brightly coloured or marked with a “diver down” flag and there are regulations in place to determine how close a boat is allowed to get to a dive float or a DSMB.
Closed-End Surface Marker Buoy
Our Closed dSMB 180cm is a compact closed cell delayed surface marker buoy to mark a location in the water. The closed design ensures it stays inflated on the surface.

Reel is cheap plastic that easily cracksLine is not robust - snapped on first useCan't be inflated from a regulator so not safe to use when it needs to be deployed quickly or if high risk situations

True 6ft bouy, no regulator inflate option on the bottom. Spring valve that takes 3 full breaths to inflate. I tried squeezing to simulate expansion, heard no pressure relief. Overall a good value, comes with spool, 100ft of line and a ss snap bolt.Originally the shipment was a day late on paid one day shipping, and it was missing the spool. The seller corrected the issue and sent a new one the very next day!

Great product for the money. I’ve used it a few times. Very happy with the quality. It’s a manual inflation instead of filling with regulator but that’s what I was looking for in this case!
