The rail mount might not be usable on some cheaper telescopes due to the screws they use and you might need to replace them.I currently have this mounted on my goto telescope and it works great when my alignment is slightly off in with the telescope in finding object.I also use this when setting up the telescope software alignment on bright stars.

Overall this is a good right angle finder scope. Optics are clear and focus well. The mount extends 3 inches away preventing interference with your focuser, optical train, or camera. Only minor complaint I have with mine, is the crosshairs are about 10% off center. Doesn't really affect anything after you align to your scope, but it's just dissapointing considering how good all my other SvBONY equipment has been.Photo attaches of offset crosshair wires. Fortunately, I was able to carefully detach and re-glue the wire in the proper position.

Works as advertised. I added a small rubber band around they eyepiece threads to help keep the crosshairs oriented.

Used this to replace the red dot finder on my 8-inch dobsonian. I finally got fed up trying to crane my neck around to see the red dot at anything approaching the zenith. This scope is easy to use and adjust, holds its zero well. I'm pleased with the purchase
