Finally!! A gorgeous, heavy weight white butter dish to match my Pottery Barn dishes! This dish is extra large, and a stick of butter ( standard size ) fits perfectly without any smearing on the cover. There is plenty of room on the base, and cutting slices off is clean and simple. This dish is elegant enough for company and sturdy enough for everyday use. Washing is quick and easy as well- or put it into the dishwasher. I wish I had known about this dish earlier instead of buying other glass holders that were never roomy enough to allow a consistently clean presentation. Highly recommend!!

I’ve purchased more than one butter dish and this one is by far the best ever. Great color and finish, dishwasher and microwave safe, lead free and most importantly LARGE. Will probably hold a good amount of the 2lb chunk of Amish country butter. Look how wide it is in the photo. Some butter dishes barely cover a regular 4 oz stick from end to end but also have very little clearance over the top. This one is long enough, wide enough and tall, all without being too oversized to fit in the cupboard.

I had my butter dish for 15 years, less than a week after purchase clumsy hubs dropped it and broke the nib off the top - I had paid a lot of money for it (Pfaltzgraph) and so I have been gluing it back on the top all these years. Managed to come off again and I was done. I ordered this and love it. It is not oval like the other and fits much for neatly on the counter and does not get in the way. Nice and heavy. Very pleased!

I was looking for a ceramic butter dish that would hold a double wide stick of butter. I buy New Zealand butter at Costco, which are double wide sticks. This dish is well made and of high quality. Glazing is smooth and glaze coverage is excellent. Highly recommend.
