Butter-lover here; I didn't know how much I needed this dish! Easily fits a block of Kerrygold butter, keeping it at room temperature for easy spreading. I've left a block of butter for a month on my countertop and it has been absolutely fine because of the quality of the rubber seal. Even my cats can't get into that seal! Body goes easily into the dishwasher, and the wooden lid is easy to hand wash and dry (rubber gasket pops out easily to ensure that it dries thoroughly without trapped water). The wood grain looks so elegant on my countertop, and it matches my other white-and-wood jars for coffee and tea!Love love love this, would 100% buy it again!

This little beauty is simply classy! Great way to store and serve butter while keeping it softened and easy to spread. The seal around the interior of the lid keeps air out and the butter from spoiling too quickly…we love it!

We LOVE this butter dish. It not only holds two sticks of butter but it also keeps them contained without a mess all over the outside. The white pottery type container looks great on the counter and feels nice, unlike plastic. The wooden lid seals well and enhances the overall look. We would definitely buy this again!

Strong and secure, this butter dish holds a brick of Kerrygold butter perfectly. The cover appears to be airtight keeping the butter free of airborne household debris. Nice color.

After years of using a plain dish for our butter, we finally splurged on a proper butter dish. I liked that the styling was classic, and that it had a lid that would somewhat seal to the dish (I was otherwise envisioning a future of butter-slicked lids tumbling to the ground). As a whole, it does work well. I perhaps would have preferred a shallower dish to make it easier to get at the butter with a knife (this is clearly meant to hold a full block of butter if you want, but who places more than one or two sticks at a time?). Also, the wooden lid is nice, but the silicone gasket is a nuisance. One, it is a pain to keep clean, including when you have to remove and reattach it to the lid. Two, when the upper parts of the dish and the gasket get slick with butter, the gasket sizing causes the lid to pop off when trying to place it on the dish. In other words, I am constantly wiping down the dish and gasket just so that it seals properly, which seems more effort than justified for this thing. I still give it four stars because it looks nice, does work, and I can just remove the gasket if I finally give up on trying to keep it sealed.

I love the size (you could put a full pound of butter in there if you wanted) and the fact that the mess is contained. You could microwave it if the butter was frozen and needed warmed up to be more spreadable. We keep ours on the counter. It’s simple and pretty and functional. A+

One word...Perfect. The large butter dish is beautiful, I take it out of the fridge in the morning and the crock stays cool all day. It holds either 2 sticks of butter or 1 8oz brick of butter.

Love this butter dish! The seal is airtight and can be easily pulled off if you don't want the top snug(easily put back on too)Also like this because it's slim and long. Some are bulky. Fits perfect on top of my stove! The feeling off it is sturdy and the finish is smooth. I don't have a dishwasher but washing it seemed fine. Will buy again !

This is a nice and modern dish that doesn't look tacky like most butter dishes. It's simple and modern and goes well with many styles. It's a good quality ceramic too.
