Update. 9/7/20. Second 36” door we ordered arrived today and you can see In the pics the board A is cracked in several places. One looks like they even tried to glue before sending. Other one is so cracked we could use this board as it break. Hoping for a quick reply from seller and a replacement board send ASAP. **got a reply a few hours later and board was shipped the next day. Very easy to assemble and look good. I actually had to order another door, 36”. When taking all the measurements I didn’t even think about the tandem hinges taking some of the length up so the two 28” doors don’t quite cover the closet opening and moulding. This has nothing to do with the door though and I ordered the 3rd door from here too. Also decided to put another coat of black stain on the existing door, while I wait for the other one to get here. I would suggest that when shipping more than one door, don’t bundle them together. UPS was going to leave it by my mailbox bc it was to heavy for him. It was raining that day and luckily I walked out when I saw him and told him I would help him get it to my door.

Solid craftsmanship. I was able to assemble the 54"×84" door within 15 minutes. Use ratcheting straps (15-16 feet long ones) to make installation easy. The ratcheting squares out the door and the diagonal bracing falls right into place. If your diagonal brace is not aligning, you don't have squareness. Seen in the included photo are orange ratchet straps I picked up at Harbor Freight. Two packs of the (4) 400lbs rated straps was used. One strap per long end and 3 straps at rail ends (top, middle, bottom). The door squared right away.Next steps for me is to finish he doors. I'm installing two bypass doors or an 8' wide closet.

This door was a good deal for having all the parts pre-cut. We did have an issue with one board being messed up and we had to order another door. When we got the new door it was not cut exactly like the other door for the accent pieces, but we didn’t use them. Overall it was a good buy. It was very was to assemble.

The door came with defective pieces. Some twisted, bowed, or cut wrong. Contacted the seller. The seller sent those pieces. After gluing and assembling of the door, which was easy to do, I noticed they sent a side board (stile) without holes for the hanging hardware. I thought no problem I can drill them. I started to mark the holes when I realized the holes were going to be in line with the screws that hold the door together. His poses a problem when you need to place the bolts through the door. They owned up to the problem after contacting Amazon Customer Service. They sent a whole new door. You would think a Quality controller would look before sending. Received more defective boards. They sent replacement boards that were needing a table saw to fix; dadoes and rabbets needed to be cut on the panel boards. We also had to glue a couple of areas and take glue residue from tape where they glued pieces together. We are planning on doing Shou Sugi Ban with a colored stain. Pictures to follow. After the aggravation this product looks good and very sturdy. The installation will be a breeze with this light weight (40lb) door.

For the price...these are a fantastic way to have a wood door with great character... have done 4 of these now and yes they have a few items with them such as dings and dents and maybe a little warp, but they are true pine wood... they have always gone together well, which is a fun project, and look great... i've used a little sandpaper once and awhile but I love the character. If you want perfect wood doors spend $750 each, if you want a great quality, fun to assemble, great looking door, I like these!!!

Pros:The door parts are well made and fit together well to make a reasonably solid door.Cons:The foam strips double-sided taped to the sides of the outboard planks in the center of the door fell off because the surface was obviously dusty and the tape didn't stick.Holes are pre-drilled in the door for rail hanger brackets but not for the door handle, which is odd because the door handle is supplied, but hanger brackets aren't.The rail kit I bought (separately) had hanger brackets with mounting holes which matched the spacing of the holes in the door which sounds great, but the holes in the door are in the wrong location (top hole 1.5" from the top of the door, not the 2" I needed) so, if I used the predrilled holes, the bottom of the door sat on the floor and the wheels didn't touch the rail. The right hole location for the rail kit I bought would make two of the mounting bolts pass through screws holding side rail on the door. I found this out after fully assembling the door and it took me about 4 hours to rework the door to accept the hanger brackets. One of the cross brace pieces was pretty badly damaged, but we weren't planning to use them (they're just cosmetic)There seems to be a lot of filler in one of the center planks. I'm hoping it takes stain (haven't got to that stage yet). The door is also a little twisted but it looks good and is pretty solid; Overall, for the price, it's not bad.
