Packaging was good, scissors look well-made in the protective sheath is a nice touch.I have not had a chance to use them yet

These work very well for cutting photo etch.

These scissors are small but extremely sharp. They cut cleanly through the tabs that connect the part to the frame, leaving for little cleanup that needs to be.

They did what I wanted them to do make a nice clean cut on some photo etched parts.

I love most stuff Tamiya makes, but I found these scissors a bit large and clumsy for PE parts, brutalized a few finer pieces and then switched back to a razor blade. They are sharp and I used them for plenty of other stuff though.

I have just got back into modelling after many many years. Kit's are not what they used to be an you can no longer get away with a tube of polystyrene cement a paint brush and a few cans of humbrol. Photoetch for fine detail seems to be the way to go and after a couple of Airfix and Revell kits I am now on my third and proper 'adult kit' a Trumpeter Type 45 destroyer that comes with the obligatory photoetch. After my first attempt with no dedicated tools apart from a scalpel, it became apparent that photoetch is tricky so I very quickly upgraded, first to these scissors which are excellent - sharp, precise and well made. They will not cut completely hard up against the sprue and then the really tricky bit is the need to clean off the part but you are not left with too much residue. To that end I have just ordered some Tamiya photoetch pliers as I have concluded that for very tiny pieces tweezers will not do. The pliers will also come in handy for bending which is their main purpose. Many people have said that Tamiya are expensive and they are. On the upside their kit is well made and should last you forever. Everything from paint to tape and tools is a quality product.

Zum Ausschneiden von PE - Teilen sehr empfehlenswert. Ich bisher diese Teile mit dem Messer ausgeschnitten, war sehr mühsam. Bin sehr zufrieden.
