Worked flawlessly connectors are robust and not plastic that will fail. All indicators were solid and it performed the work as it should. Used to restore a phone signal to a security gate call box.

Have been using TM-500, or equivalent. This tester is awesome. Measures amps and voltage. I am sure it determines polarity but used only once.

I've been in TelCom for 20+ years. This is only the 3rd test set I've ever bought because they're usualy good for a decade or so. Haven't even had this one a year and I'm done w it. Thin plastic body, plastic hook, and it turns it's self on if left in a tool bag, thus draining the batteries. Decent features when it worked. Measures line voltage like a set that costs twice as much but it's so unreliable I find myself bringing my 12 year old harris onto the job site as a backup because I can't trust this one to function properly. I guess if you coud baby it and only needed to use it once in a while it would serve you well. If you're in the field every day and need a tool you can rely on, I can't recommend it at all,

I originally purchased a butt set that did not have the functions of this device and quickly regretted it. I love the durability and hand/face-feel of this device. I'm disappointed the LCD screen is not backlit and the keys are not powered glow - I needed to shine a light on the keys for them to illuminate. If the keys and LCD were powered by the battery I would give this device a 5-star rating.If you will use this device in low light settings, considering a device with powered lighting, otherwise this device should met your needs.

Solid brand. I like the Tempo more than the Fluke. More features and still lasts forever. Loud speaker and love the wired walkie talkie feature(helpful especially when cell service is bad or definitive line tests). We still need to test phone lines and will always find them here or there. Dont forget the long cable and nails and phone jack. A+ recommend Tempo.
