This is an excellent cooler for the price. It outperformed my coolermaster name brand cooler by a long shot. The cooling fins are tightly packed around the heat pipes and made of thin gauge material to dissipate the heat quickly away from the CPU. The heat pipes are real copper, and I really like that the way the cooler fastens to the motherboard you do not need to remove the 4 motherboard screws to remove the cooler for a repaste, you only need to remove two hold down screws which makes regular maintenance easy. The cooling fan that comes with the cooler is a great 120mm fan with ARGB. In my opinion, if you are going with air only cooling this is is the best value of a cooler to buy.

I was on the fence about the Thermalright brand at first but after putting their products in multiple PCs I have come to find they offer the best value to price ratio out of any other company. Their fans are high quality. Very appealing design. They work EXTREMELY well. This cooler in particular is a great value. The argb is aesthetically appealing. It will cool your CPU without fail. It’s decently sized and fits well on AMD or intel platforms. It just works. I will only buy Thermalright products. Just ordered two of their 5 pack of argb fans tonight. It’s a great and high quality product, get yourself this cooler!!

I found it rather easy to install the CPU cooler after taking the standard wraith cooler out. Noise level is very low compared to the wraith cooler, this one also has RGB, although not quite sure how to change the color. Kept my CPU at an all time low of just 55°C after a hefty session, compared to the mid 70°C my wraith cooler would keep my CPU at. Greatest Budget CPU cooler compared to the other ones on the market. EDIT: I figured out how to change the colors, I got a cpu fan hub and was able to successfully change the colors with a program called SignalRBG

This is the 2nd time I have purchased one of these. It worked so well on an old I7-3770 CPU/MB that I specifically shopped again for this model. Installed this one on an AM4 socketed R5-5600 CPU. On both systems the CPU is kept cool while being whisper quiet. Installation is a little time consuming but pretty simple even with the not so great directions. My cpus do not draw much power so I do not know the limits of this cooler but its pretty easy to see it can handle much more heat, even with the single fan. I wouldn't hesitate to use this on a Ryzen 7.

I had a smaller low profile Thermalright cooler that had a broken sensor on top of the cooling being subpar, so I purchased this as a replacement. Sensor is working correctly now, went from an idle temp of about 38 degrees to 31, temperatures under load went from 85+ in CPU intensive games like Monster Hunter World to about 65-70, and it is very quiet. The cooling is much better than my old cooler despite maxing out at 1600 RPMs vs the old one's 2400.However, the mounting system and cooler are very annoying to install without help. If you have a Ryzen CPU, it uses your motherboard's existing AM4/AM5 back bracket to mount, so if you got rid of it you'll need a replacement. The use of this bracket makes it awkward to install as the mounting system for an AMD system consists of two loose metal brackets that need to be screwed in fully before they can stand upright. So the process of installation essentially requires you to have three hands because you'll need to hold the loose back bracket in place, hold the metal mounting bracket in place, and then screw the bracket into the standoffs. I worked around this by fully screwing in one side without the brackets in order to hold the back plate in place, but still annoying considering the install process for intel boards looks relatively simpler and less frustrating according to the instructions.Installing the cooler itself is also a bit of a hassle and may require some fidgeting to get it into place. The cooler has spring loaded screws with holes at the end that need to be aligned with the screw ends on the metal mounting bracket and are small. It can be difficult to tell if you've aligned it properly as you can have the screw in the correct place on one side but have the other side misaligned which will cause you to have to unscrew from one side and potentially reseat it, causing a mess considering that thermal paste will be involved. I recommend attempting to install it dry once or twice to practice and see if you can insert it properly before adding the thermal paste and finishing the install.Overall a great fan for the money, but I would honestly pay more if they had a less frustrating mounting system.

Before: Arctic Silver 5 paste, Wraith stock cooler, Ryzen 5600XPrevious idle temps were around 60C and would reach 80-90 during load with Red Dead Redemption 2. Replaced the old paste and stock cooler with the Thermalright 120 and Arctic MX-4 and now my idles are averaging upper 30/low 40 and load with RDR2 averages upper 50s and some spikes into the low 60s. Greater than 20C degree reduction in CPU temps. The fan spins between 1500-1800 rpm on average and is pretty quiet. GPU fan is making more noise at this point.Installation wasn't too bad. Worst part would be screwing in the mount brackets for AM4 boards. Two of out the four plastic cylinder mounts wouldn't fit flush over the screw holes and the metal brackets were hard to hold in place while trying to screw it down. After that, installation was pretty simple.Functionality wise? 5 stars. Installation wise? 4 stars. Overall, 4.5 with a round up to 5.Note - The heatsink is pretty tall. Definitely check the dimensions before buying to make sure you can close your case.

Cools my ryzen 5 5600 at 4.3 ghz under load at ~80 degrees celcius, very happy with this, comes with all mounting hardware and some thermal paste, fan is very quiet and the ARGB is pretty good.

It came with everything we needed. It was easy to assemble and is relatively quiet. Much better than the old broken one I had previously
