These are extremely strong and the most versatile wall anchor that I have found. They work in 3/8" drywall, but will also work in depths of up to 3 5/8". It also requires a slightly smaller hole than standard toggle bolts. My house has plaster wall of various thickness. Some areas used a plaster board with metal lath and plaster on top, making for very thick, uneven and brittle walls. Standard nylon drywall anchors will not work. The wall chips out too much. Toggle bolts may need to be so long to get through the drywall, that the bolt itself won't fit in the wall cavity. Of course, with standard toggle bolts, you lose the toggle the first time you take the bolt out. With snaptoggles, you drill the hole, insert the toggle, pull it tight, and then insert the bolt, so their is not an issue with bolt length that you have when you have to have the bolt in when you insert the toggle with a standard toggle. I do recommend that you buy some 1/4" fender washers to use with these when working with materials that might not have a clean hole when you drill. That just insures that your toggle won't pull back through the hole. These things do have a downside, which I have come to terms with. Some of the toggles will break during installation. It is not a big deal. You can just use another one in the same hole. Still, it makes an already expensive anchor more expensive when you waste some. In my twenty pack, I broke 7. Part of that is because of my stupidity. The nylon zip part of this anchor does not provide any of the strength of this anchor. The strength is all on the metal toggle and the bolt. You do not need to pull that nylon zip super tight. Since I learned that, I am not breaking too many. Still, you may break some. One example of the pluses (mostly) and minuses of this product was when I tried to anchor my toilet recently. The flange bolts on one side were not holding. When I went to replace the bolt, I found that the flange opening for the bolt had widened out over time, so the flange bolts would never hold. I thought I was going to have to pull the toilet, and either replace the flange or repair it, then clean out the old wax ring, install a new one and remount the toilet. Instead, I used a snaptoggle. The first one broke, I think because the flange was not flat underneath, resulting in an awkward angle to thread the bolt in. The second snaptoggle worked like a charm. I finished in five minutes (ok maybe fifteen). Now my toilet does not wobble, and I did not have to go through the time, expense and mess of messing with the flange, wax ring and pulling and remounting a toilet. I'm fine with spending $2 or $3 in snaptoggles to get that done.

I bought a 2 shelf wall pot rack. I didn't realize that the pot rack we bought had 3 pre-drilled holes 16 inches apart in the frame. To center the rack on the wall the studs were not even close to the pre drilled locations. I had a couple of choices. I either had to drill through the frame at the stud locations to secure the rack or use a mix of anchors and studs.I found a stud I could use for to secure part of the rack. I then used these anchors to hold the shelves. It is always nerve racking for a home owner to drill holes into the perfectly good wall. I measured everything up and used a 1/2 drill bit to make hole. These slide right into the hole and worked like a charm. The sleeve slides down like zip ties. No problems with snapping off the extra material. Now after install the rack feels like it would take the whole wall down if you were to yank really hard. A really good product. So for ease of install. Reuseability in same spot(not possible with other toggles). Secure feeling after install. Excellent for a wall anchor. The final and most important.Being able to put toggle anchor into wall and then screw bolt was just awesome. With other Toggle anchors you need to have bolt through frame, then toggle. So you are lifting the material and try to get toggle through hole and then tighten up. These you put toggle into wall and the hole is setup. Then you align the material and hand screw in the bolt. It is just so much easier especially when dealing with heavy material and if you are doing project solo.Really nice. I installed on Saturday and pot rack with pots is still hanging.

I had an exterior light fixture that was installed over vinyl siding but without an electrical box, so I bought a mounting block with integrated electrical box to fix it. When I went to install the mounting block I discovered there was nothing but foam board behind the siding, so the block would not stay in place with just screws. I ordered these toggle bolts hoping they would be a better solution to secure the light fixture and mounting block, and it worked great! The block is MUCH more secure. The toggle bolts were easy to install and snapped off cleanly, leaving the screw hole ready to accept the included screws.

Once they are in place, they are awesome. Getting them there can be a challenge. The designated hole side is good unless you are going into steel studs and then it is slightly too small.Setting the base can be tricky as the ‘breakaway’ part can come off as it is pulled tight. All my concerns may be due to my placing into metal studs, which it works most excellently for.

These are awesome. I have lathe and plaster wall. Any anchor or even their alligator anchors don't work well. These work far better than the other toggle bolts as well as molly bolts.Probably the biggest drawback to this is the size of the screw. The length of the screw can be long for some applications. And it would be nice if they had a smaller sized one. They may ... I just haven't seen one.

These were just the ticket for hanging a very heavy mirror over our fireplace mantle. 1950's house with plaster walls. Worked great.

Watched a bunch of YouTube vids, chuffed I managed to get this on prime! Worked a treat - needed to buy a 12mm drill bit but it held my tv mount to the plasterboard wall no problems! I even did a pull up on the tv mount!

We hung our bedroom TV using these anchors and couldn't be happier. The Toggle Anchors were a snap (no pun intended) to install which made the overall installation of the bracket and subsequently the TV, also a non-issue.Will buy again as we're probably hanging our living room TV soon too.
