You never think a little chain like this is important. But watch your water bill go up fast if your toilet keeps running. Using a Stainless Steel chain from the rubber flapper to the handle on the tank is the answer. It's inexpensive. It's easy to install and it works. 'Nuff said.

I don’t know if I received a bad batch, but in this set of two chains, neither one had a hook on both ends, and the picture clearly shows each chain having two hooks. They had only one hook. You need two hooks to attach it to the stopper and another part in the toilet. But I did a “workaround†as they say in the office—since I had two chains and only needed one, I took the hook off the one chain, put it on the other end of the chain I was using and voila—two hooks! Worked fine. You have to figure out if it is too short or too long but with trial and error, I got it to work fine. I am not a plumber, but this turned out to be pretty easy stuff. Our other chain was over 50 years old and just rusted out. I looked on YouTube to see how to attach the chain so the toilet would flush. Saved a lot of money by not having to call a plumber. Cost of chains worth it. Taking away a star because they both were missing a hook on one end.

It was okay, but not a normal hookup. I adjusted the chain until it worked. Make sure you have the correct number for your commode. If you don’t, you will be making unnecessary adjustment.
