it was the exact replacement for my part without the genuine Honda price tag. easy to locate and install, just remove battery and air intake hose and its right there directly under the air intake hose mounted in the front of the transmission held in with 6 10mm bolts. i replaced all the gear pressure switches and this and my transmission shifts much smoother now and no more check engine light and its been about 6 months. it even comes with the gasket primed with transmission fluid. easy peezy took about 15 minutes, the longest part was getting the pesky air intake hose connected back onto the throttle body!

Worked on my 2003 Honda Element. It was shifting hard from 2nd to 3rd. Did the normal drain and fill fluid. Didnt work. Added Lucas oil treatment. Didn't work. Checked make sure the oil level was correct (which it was), didnt work. Changed out thr shift solenoid for this new one, worked!! Smooth shifting again

Thought I could save some money so I bought this solenoid, well not only did it not solve the problem is also made it worse. Thought it was defective so I exchanged it for another, basically the same thing. Then i purchased a original honda unit and perfect. Live and learn.

When installed my workshop manager told me that the spare part 28260-PRP-014 did not performed as espected, and shall be raplaced.NMN offered two years warranty but for me is so expensive to return the part back.so sad, but I need it, so I`ll buy it and try again.MO
