This is great, but selectively so. Like most tools, you've gotta use it for what it's good for... putting a DSLR or even a micro 4 3rds on this will be a terrible idea. It's stable enough as a light stand, and pretty good for action cameras, etc. Think well under a pound.It's pretty robust and I've ordered two for just general use. We run two Osmo Pocket 3s on them for coverage in addition to other cameras. Very fast to deploy and move around. Packs down very easily into a reasonable size.Time will tell for 1+ year of use, but we'll see. The build seems better than most stuff in this price range, so I'm optimistic.

I had high hopes for this extendable tripod. It was going to live on the side of my camera bag, ready to be popped out at a moment's notice to hold an off-camera flash for a quick hair light or accent while on location. Either that, or perhaps an extra long sort of selfie stick that could be set up to get an extreme high angle with a gopro. In the end, I've opted to leave this behind more often than not because it's just a bit too big for my taste. When fully extended, even without anything attached to the end, the stand bows when you hold it horizontally. Vertically, there is a great deal of sway, too much for my liking especially with it's small footprint. I may keep it with me for that odd need here and there, but it's definitely not going to become a go-to bit of kit.

It looks good closed up and fully extended. It works carrying a smallish lamp and umbrella. Not quite full marks because it has such a small tripod base that it will always be somewhat more prone to falling over than a stand with a wider base; also the sections extend with a good pull and seem to stay extended purely by friction. It works perfectly but I wonder about the lifetime of such an arrangement.So, I like it and will use it regularly albeit with a bit of care over the stability and a slight worry over the lifetime.
