I bought a package of 4 of these step-on switches. My husband put them on an exstion cords. Worked beautifully. Alot cheaper then buying one at the hardware store.

Very affordable. Had an older light that stopped working. Easy to replace, plus now we have a few more for some other lights with broken switches. Works well.

I have two lamps that are really cool, but it is hard to reach the switch. I tried touch controls since they are all metal - but they are inconsistent. I tried remote controls - but those would get lost. The latest was extension cords with switches - but they either get lost behind the nightstands - or you have extra cords going up onto the nightstand for the switches. These are small enough to be close to the lights on the nightstand - and easy to feel and activate in the dark. They are light, and hard plastic - so I put a silicone sheet on the bottom to keep them from sliding - but I'm tempted to put some double sided tape on them and stick them to the side of the nightstand. I probably won't use them on a carpeted floor - but I am going to put them on the Christmas tree lights and train set. My daughter wants on for her desk lamp - which made me realize I want them on my desk hutch's 2 sets of lights (the switches are hard to reach, and hard to turn). I think I need to buy two more sets of four...

A good purchase that saved a $60 lamp. I might use the others to add the convenient foot switch to other lamps.

hooked them up to a small lamp. be prepared to do some wiring.

I bought these needing only one switch to replace the one on my lamp that lasted 35 years. Now I know why these are sold in sets of four, because after only two months it crapped out. What a waste of money! I’m now wondering how long the other three will last and will be lucky if I get one year out of them! Super disappointed!
