We had our original remote for our ceiling fan since 2008, when we first bought our home. It's 2024, and this remote works so good! I'm sure it will last as long as our ceiling lasts. It came with a little holder that I put on the back of our little lamp table. I used doubled sided tape to attach it. So convenient! And saves space. Yes, it was the same exact model as the old one. Made very well! I got it in an XL.

Love this remote. I simply put in a battery and turned on my fan. Was so simple and works great.

Harbor bay fan controls are dependable and relatively easy to install, depending on the location of course. Wires are marked so not much chance of miswiring! Price is better than big box stores.

We needed a replacement for our 20 year old house ceiling fan and by using the serial number on the back of our old remote we were pleasantly pleased that this company had an exact duplicate of the old one for a great low price! shipped promptly, well packed great low price-recommended vendor!

I installed this unit with a brand new fan about 2 years ago. The fan ran slower than my other fans and the lights were dimmer but I assumed that my new fan/light just sucked and it felt like too much work to remove it and exchange it so we lived with it. Over the last two years the remote “workedâ€â€” mostly. You had to press the buttons really hard and do it multiple times for it to adjust the fan or turn on the light but you eventually got there. This week the fan light was too dim to be comfortable. I assumed the fan unit itself had gone bad so I bought a new one and replaced it but kept the same remote. After installation of the new fan, I still had the exact same problem. I measured the voltage coming into the fan from the box and it was 50. I removed the box and it solved the issue. Without this remote unit, my fan speed is correct and the lights are bright. I guess I didn’t need a new fan in the first place. As a side suggestion, do not use the adhesive on the remote to hang it on your wall. When I removed it, it took a giant chunk out of my drywall.

This unit not only gives you control of fan speeds, on and off, but does it remotely. This unit costs less than a wall speed switch plus you get remote control. So, I installed a simple on-off wall switch to replace the defective wall speed control switch and installed the wireless control unit in the fan. It is easier to get at the wiring if you take one fan blade off. Then just hook up the input wires and the output wires which are clearly labeled, with the supplied wire nuts. If you have more than one remote fan control, you might want to set the DIP switches to an unused code combination in the controller and remote. Also a piece of a cake. Install a 9v battery in the remote control and sit back and enjoy the breeze. Installation took less than 30 minutes including time to dig out the ladder and put it away.
