RCS213-A Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit
- This RCS213-A ceiling fan remote controller and receiver kit is manufactured by the original OEM and approved by the FCC.
- This RCS213-A fan remote controller kit is a replacement for Hand-Held Remote Control System RCS223/RCS213.
- This item included the RCS213-A remote, AC8.3T receiver, installation manual and necessary accessories, but not include the 12V battery.
Ceiling Fan Speed Control & Light Dimmer
- This remote have 3-Speed (High/Med/Low) and OFF for fan speed control.
- Light Dimmer for dimming control and light ON/OFF.
- Note before buying: this remote control does not have the reverse button, the light dimmer just controls the brightness of the incandescent lights and dimmable LED lights, other LED lights and all CFL lights only control bulbs' ON/OFF.

This RCS213-A & AC8.3T ceiling fan remote control kit suitable for most 110V AC 3-Speed fans, including the ceiling fan with reverse switch.
- Warm weather - (Forward) A downward airflow creates a cooling effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner on a warmer setting without affecting your comfort.
- Cool weather - (Reverse) An upward airflow moves warm air off of the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on a cooler setting without affecting your comfort.
Wide Compatibility
- This ceiling fan remote control kit works most 110V 3-speed AC ceiling fans.
- Compatible with Hampton Bay, Hunter, Harbor Breeze, Home Decorators Collection, Westinghouse, Honeywell, Craftmade and many more major ceiling fan brands.
- Compatible with most downrod style fans, not recommended for use with hugger style fans.
- Light dimmer compatible with incandescent light bulbs and dimmable LED lights, other non-dimmable LED and all CFL lights only support ON and OFF function.
Easy Install
1, Installing Receiver In Ceiling Fan
- Follow the included installation manual to install the receiver to the ceiling fan canopy.
2, Setting the Codes
- A - Setting a unique code on the transmitter
Factory setting is all up. Do not use this code combination.
- B - Pairing the remote control and receiver.
Within 60 seconds of turning the receiver AC power ON. Press and hold the remote's “OFF” button for over 3 seconds, once the receiver has detected the frequency, the down light will flash twice.
- C - Test Pairing
After completing the steps above, you should be able to operate the ceiling fan and light. If the fan is not responding to the remote, please turn the power off to the receiver. And repeat step A and B.
3, Operating Remote
- Install a 12V battery(NOT INCLUDE) in the remote and things should work.

Do not use with solid state fans, not recommended for use with hugger style fans.

My original remote had started to discolor and my OCD was kicking in so I tried this one. Bright white and works like a charm, no complaints here!

Good replacement, works way better than the 20 year old remote but does not have a reverse. Good value.

Perfect fit. The original receiver would not shut off anymore. It would slow down the fan to about half of the low speed but not go all the way off. In my case, the metal cover for the receiver is outside and is some 12 feet above the deck. Hanging onto a ladder is not my cup of tea but the only way. The replacement control unit is exactly the same as the original even down to the dip switches so it works and looks exactly the same as the original. The instructions on the wiring is complete and you shouldn’t have a problem wiring it in, however, if you don’t have any idea on how to wire it I’d suggest getting a professional electrician. All necessary parts are included down to new wire nuts, which I used, discarding the old ones. New unit works perfect - High, Medium, and Low speeds including the light. I would have included a video but 12’ in the air, hanging onto the ladder, using both hands to install the unit left me without a medium to operate the camera. Good luck.

I recently bought a house and the ceiling fan in the living room had no chains or a remote. After some research it lead me here, the remote works perfectly. Dip switches are easy to access and the instructions that come with it tell you how the dimmer works. I will definitely recommend this to anyone missing a remote for their Hampton Bay fans.

There seem to be any number of this product available from different vendors but they all look the same so just chose the cheapest. Used to control a fan in the office. It is a Casablanca fan that came with its own remote but it seemed hard to get it to function properly. Replaced the receiver with this et voila it worked perfectly first time. I was surprised given the price. There is no light attached to the fan and the remote, whilst a little utilitarian works well as each speed responds perfectly with a positive click from the remote.Very happy so far and I could not believe the inexpensive price
