Ordered these to replace original detectors in house. Easy to install, interconnected and happy I don't have to worry about batteries beeping when they wear out!! So worth it!!

We ordered this smoke detector a month ago and installed it with no problems. Tonight it has started chirping constantly and will NOT STOP even after I have changed the battery and pressed the reset button. I have read the entire owners manual and cannot find out why it is chirping once every 30 seconds. It is making me crazy! There is no reason why it should be chirping. We have only had it for one month!

As our smoke alarms time out (they should be replaced at least every ten years) we have been buying the same brand and this model so that we don't have any compatibility issues. Our house has a lot of smoke and CO detectors, and I'm thankful to the builder for that, and if one goes off it triggers the rest to sound as well. The new USI ones have a 'locate' function that will tell you which detector initiated the alarm if you have one that is too sensitive or otherwise giving false alarms. We don't have that issue, but I will appreciate it if we ever do.

I am not an electrician but this was easy to install.I have four smoke detectors in my house, and recently a second one started beeping a few times signalling that it has reached the end of its life cycle. The previous one I replaced with the same brand and have had no issues with it.Apparently these things last about 10 years, so I maybe should have replaced all four at the same time, but the others seem to be going strong so far, so we'll see.

This was an exact replacement for our ceiling mounted smoke alarm. Easy install.

Sold as 10 year battery hardwired product. Manufactured over 6 years ago leaving little or no remaining battery life. Others have commented similarly. Very deceptive and disappointing. Have hade issues with this product battery life even when newly manufactured.

I purchased this smoke alarm to replace my current wired alarm. It's supposed to be good for 10 years, however this one I just received expires in 2028. That's four years by my math. Why is this even being sold?
