Nothing to assemble, battery already installed, just tighten the back and attach it to the wall. Easy to test and lightweight.

Work as expected, easy to install. The kill button is slightly recessed so is hard to hit with a stick during a false alarm (when placed on the ceiling). Added a sticky rubber cabinet damper button to it so as to easily press it with a stick from below.

Honestly I hope to never know if they work great, because that would mean smoke and/or fire. But I didn't want to have to hard-wire them and definitely didn't want to deal with regular batteries. These have a 10 year battery, which is great. My handyman did test them after installing and they are loud enough to wake me for sure.

These work and the price is awesome, 10 year battery cheaper then a 1 year battery.

My fire alarm dies and I needed a replacement. I was super skeptical about this at first because of the price and even more skeptical when it came and was so small! I kid you not, it's 2/3 the size of my other alarm! That being said, I like it better. It isn't an eye sore, the design is sleek and unnoticeable, it is just as sharp and loud as any other when tested, and is less blinding with its operation light. I like the durability of the base attachment as well. Good quality for the price.
