I'm using this heating mat with my grow kit to germinate Pepper and tomato seeds indoors during the winter months for springs planting. I'm very happy with this purchase, the heat mat is working great and pairs well with my grow kit. My setup is simple, I placed a piece of cardboard on a small folding table and lay the heat mat on it, then I setup the grow kit (added seed starting mix, seeds, and water) and placed the kit on top of mat and plug it into the wall outlet. Observation: This mat is warm to the touch on the side contacting kit and not very warm on the side contacting cardboard, so I'm not worried about cardboard burning. I can honestly recommend this item to you. Hey, did I mention that this is my first time ever germinating seeds indoors and that in 10 days of use I already have a few seedlings pop up.

Arrived in a timely manner and it keeps my starts at the right temperature. I put it in a big tub and added a thermostat on off attachment to keep it at the temp I need.

I bought this to use with my sourdough loafs as my kitchen is really cold in the winter time. It gets a little warmer than needed so I put a towel down between my sourdough starter and the warmer so it's a little more gentle on the dough

I purchased for my sourdough starter. Works great. I do wish that you could control the temperature and that there was some sort of indicator light. Decent for the price.

Item is as advertised. I am using it on my 3-weason porch to heat seedlings for my garden. Even when the room temp drops to near freezing, the plants remain warm enough.

I use these heat mats during winter to grow my microgreens, otherwise only a few germinate and grow very slowly. The mat helps them produce as usual. No noticeable difference in electric use.
