This tool is a bit basic and the finish is certainly not high end German or Japanese, however it works like a charm for what it is intended to do. I have never used any tool that made removing upholstery staples so easy and that overcomes any of its beauty contest shortcomings.

This tool is amazing! After days of struggling and sore hands to remove with a standard remover I ordered this gem. Comfortable, quick removal of heavy duty upholstery staples. Made the job so much easier and quicker.

The staple puller worked better than a version I previously bought for more money. I've done two chairs with it and the points are taking a beating. A bit of a bend and a curled over tip. I was able to file out the problems. To be fair, I am removing staples from a solid Hickory chair, which is an extremely hard wood! There are also around 250 staples per chair. So, even with the damage, I feel like I got my money out of it.

I used this to remove staples from 8 professionally covered dining room chairs and this made quick work of taking out the staples. It’s tapered enough to get the ends under the staples and strong enough to pull them out even when at least half an inch in the wood. The angle of the tool makes it easy to pull out the staples by pressing down on the handle.

This tool turned out to be indispensable. When I ordered it, I figured the sharp tips would promptly break off and it would go back. To my surprise, they didn’t snap or bend. I had damaged a couple other tools trying to remove the staples before ordering this. This made the job possible. Took a while but it did it. I hope the tips never break and I live happily ever after with it haha. Oh, one other thing. You’ve got to have your mind on what you’re doing with it. My other hand had to grip the work piece very close to the staples being removed and I could see myself at a doc in the box getting stitches from the tool slipping and snagging my hand. I had to consciously point the tool away from my hand for every staple. But all in all, a very good purchase.

I used this for round head heavy staples when refelting a pool table. Weaker tools did not work, this is the right one. Just keep it sharp and it will last a long time.
