Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Question : I installed the card, but it doesn't show up in device manager. Nor does it work with any of the USB devices I have plugged in. Driver installation claiming device missing?

the card is not seated correctly, if you remove it and reinstall it so it is seated correctly in the slot, it may correct the problem.
the card is broken and you will have to return it for a replacement.
did you turn off your computer when you installed it. If so, try shutting down and restarting your computer.
The computer motherboard driver is not fully installed, update the driver of the computer motherboard.
May not be compatible with this motherboard, please provide the motherboard model number to our engineering to facilitate the solution

2. Question: Mouse or keyboard plugged into these ports will go to sleep?

These devices shut down when the computer goes to sleep, so if your M&K is plugged into these ports, you can't use it to wake up your machine

3. Question: The USB-A slot is too close to the top of the expansion slot. You'll have to make some minor adjustments to get your USB's in and out

Because they will hit the upper part of the chassis slot every time

Don't secure the expansion card down, you need to insert a USB-A end from the motherboard board slot and then secure the card down again

4. Question: The card works very slowly. Over 100 MByte/s not included - versus the theoretically possible 400+ MByte/

Please uninstall the included CD driver via Device Manager completely, reboot it, and then use the driver available via Windows Update.
Please check if your external device is a USB 3.0 device.
Replace the PCIE slot on your motherboard and see if the problem disappears.

Works very well, the issues that I was having before were just my very crappy usb hub, but this thing is wonderful and charges my phone up really fast, it also charges up my vr headset and gives it a very fast connection so I love it

The install cd was defective. Misleading documentation. I was able to get the card working nonetheless using win 10 preinstalled drivers. But card stopped working 4 weeks after purchase, just past window to qualift for a refund. Waste of money and time. From other reviews both issues sound common with this card I would not recommend this card

I was trying to copy files from a LaCie 8TB external HD using a USB-A to USB-C cable. Not enough power. I ordered a different card, missing the fine print where it couldn't supply an external HD... got this one - hooked up the internal power and was able to power the HD no problem. The drive was filled with over 800k photos so the copy took a couple of days of continuous operation. No issues. Very pleased with the card and now I can hook those pesky USB-C devices up directly with no hassles.There were no issues with Linux either. It took more time for me to pull my computer out from under my desk than it took to install the card.

I bought this for use in a Windows 11 PC. I tried installing the drivers from the disc with no luck. The website listed on the disk is dead and does not have drivers. Third party drivers for the card also did not work do not recommend.

This card works as advertised. I installed this card on a Dell T3600 Workstation running Windows 10 22H2 Build No. 19045.3930. Windows installed the drivers automatically, I did not need the included CD.
