I am not a Timpani player, I play rock music on a large DW kit with lots of cymbals. I use these Timpani sticks on my floor tom and cymbals mostly, they have a nice soft attack and let you gradually build up a "swell" in a pleasing manner.They make my 18" DW floor tom sound like a Timpani, I'll buy more of these when these wear out.Good music to all!

I play in a city band and these sticks work very well for our purpose. These sticks were recommended by my long time music teacher.

these mallets simply feel so good in the hand....i could not put them down....great for on toms and cymbals...really helping to bring a melodic quality if one applies some touch to their playing.....love'em!!!!!

Has a great, round sound, but over time, the fibers separate, making them get significantly softer. My first choice of mallet for almost any piece of music.
