I just bought this to replace the identical stick I’ve used for a few years. I used it scuba diving, extending and contracting it several times per dive. You can get much closer to sea life with a camera on a stick. I’m guessing I used it on about seventy dives in salt water before it finally broke. Great value for the money.

At some point I thought one of the segments was stuck and I tugged on it too hard and the segment popped out. I was able to put it back together, but I can tell that it will easily come out again if I tug on it, so I need to be a bit more careful using it. Other than that mishap, it feels really solid, is easy to use, and extends to a nice length.

I put a GoPro Hero 11 Black in a dive housing on this extension rod on a lanyard. It allows me to put the camera right into the reef and get some fabulous shots! This is highly recommended as you can flip the camera and get great underwater selfies! I will try and add some pictures at a later date.

Do not buy this item at all! I lost my gopro hero 9 due to the wrist leash breaking in no more then 3 foot waves. Part of the leash that tethers to the bottom of the stick snapped in a small wave, the stick and gopro are not lost someplace in the ocean. I lost $400+ worth of gear due to this faulty product. Do not create a retention strap that breaks with zero force, this is a major flaw.

It cost $12.69 USD. It holds and action camera securely at it's length. I'm very happy with it.VVHOOY, on the next version you might consider including a 1/4" 20 tripod socket at the handle. Cheers!

stick works like a charm. fits perfectly to my Go Pro Hero 7. grip is nicely constructed and feels very sturdy.
