I am using this to maintain water level in a pond. It works as advertised and the color makes it a bit easier to hide among the rocks. The only minor problem is with this item you get only the bare bones float valve, while others come with several adaptors included, and this is why I gave 4 stars for ease of installation. These are easy enough to find at your neighborhood hardware store (although they will be white PVC, which for me defeated the purpose of finding a gray valve in the first place.)

Just received my float valve along with all the othe fittings and filter, everything went together nicely, can't wait to put this to use in my buffer tank!

I installed, would not shut off . Bought another name brand locally and it worked fine. I am 3 days late on being able to return so I have a worthless valve. Would not purchase again

Bought this so the chickens could always have fresh water, I have it hooked to a 55 gallon food save barrel by PVC and drinking water safe water hose. Always keeps the chickens water trough topped up. Only thing I need to do is make sure their water source is full for them.

The water valve works very well, suitable for pondsThe water valve works fine and automatically fills my pond with water, exactly as expected. Installation is also very easy, it is a good product.

I have a pond filled by a well pump, and that is used to irrigate my garden so needs to top up its water 5-6 times a day. Water looks clean and no obvious sediment. The valve has failed to close twice within the first 4 days of being installed causing a pond overflow. Fortunately caught it fairly soon after. Now I cant trust it to turn off. Looking at installing a motorized shutoff valve and a float switch instead. Sad really as I had hoped this Tank Float valve would be the answer but it cant be relied on.

Usually works great but last one failed due to thread issue due to popping in the middle of the night. I replace this float valve every year as it's in my backyard fish pond in Hawaii. Unfortunately, latest one failed due to threads popping and my fishpond filled nonstop in the middle of the night, like leaving the faucet on. Yikes, dry here on Maui and water restrictions for residents (although no restrictions for tourist to take unlimited showers/flush toilets) so this is a big deal for me and my water bill.
