Large, handsome and heavyweight, this set has an imposing presence. Be advised that the clock has a quartz movement and no chiming mechanism. This was my preference since I would never remember to wind it, nor would I want the noise, given its intended use and placement.I am very pleased with both the item and seller service.

This is a beautiful clock that I bought for a retirement present for a friend. It isn't made out of the heaviest metal, but does appear to be solid brass.The back is unnecessarily flimsy, my only complaint. Capt. Dave Gwynn's Island, Virginia

I don’t own this exact clock but in general their clocks Look great on the outside but have plastic junk inside. Wouldn’t honor warranty to repair mine. Buy elsewhere

Wow! Much better quality than I expected. Both the clock and the barometer will look great in my sailboats main saloon. I’m replacing an old European clock that came with the boat whose inners have failed due to corrosion. My new instruments should last for many cruising miles with their heavy cases.
