I'm not very tech savvy and I've never been able to connect my phone to my TCL Roku and I've never known why. I tried this thing and it works great. As a non-tech savvy person, I was really relieved to see the directions pop up on the screen as soon as I plugged it in. The written directions are fine too, just small print. Happy to have this thing

Bought this last minute because it was on sale and I needed something that would let me project from my phone on to an older non-smart TV, and it worked exactly as I needed it to! I have little need for it in my normal office, since all the displays are miracast enabled, but this sure came through when I needed it most.

The external video card makes your life less complicated as opposed to one without an adapter. It's definitely worth the money. It took less than 5 minutes to get everything connected and online.
