Whoever designed these things deserves a Nobel prize. If there is anything out there better than these, I would be surprised. I use these nearly daily this spring and summer. I actually look forward to using them. They hold their sharp edge, brilliantly. They are sturdy. Lightweight. Invincible.

Wow...this lopper is so great!. I have short arms and lots of shoulder and hand issues. THis lopper is light and so easy to use. Cuts both dead stuff and live wodd equally well. Seems very well made and I love it. While I have some longer ones for times I might need more leverage, Or for when I have a helper, this one is my goto for caring for my orchard and other trees and shrubs. If you are on the fence, go for it.

Haven’t used it yet but I can see it will work great. It’s just a little too heavy for me. You buy a long-handled pruner to REACH far but that means the weight is more significant. But it will last forever with whoever I get to help me!

Sturdy look and feel. This is a well made tool that should last for years, as long as I don't leave it outside too much... The grips and "close bumpers" are made of a soft rubbery substance that really helps with grip and to keep from busting your knuckles when the limb snaps. An old pair of Fi$kers loppers i found laying in the dirt, have a similar substance on the handles and it gets sticky as it deteriorates - I will be taking better care of my WT loppers. As for cutting, I have only done some light cutting so far, 1" or so. The only down-side is that you really have to open the handles wide to get the branch in between the cutting blades. There is a bit of a hook at the end of the bottom blade that makes it so you have to open even wider. Not really a problem as long as you have room to operate.Relatively little effort is required to make the cut. The geared cutting head has smooth operation, allowing for less of a pop at the end of the cut. The blade shape, despite, or maybe because of, the hook makes quick work of green branches (haven't tried dry yet). The construction of the cutting head prevents the blades from separating, which is pretty common with cheaper loppers.I plan to use these loppers to cut saplings at their base as I clear trails in my wooded property. This will help keep my chainsaw out of the dirt.If you are wondering whether to get the big name brand or Woodland Tools brand, I recommend Woodland Tools!

I rarely leave reviews, but these loppers definitely deserve some hype. I've been looking for some new ones after my fiskars crapped out on me after only a couple years, but I couldn't find any that were light enough to hold for long periods of time and felt durable enough to last me more than a couple seasons. I decided to go with these since I wasn't satisfied with any of the ones I was testing out in store, and these definitely did not disappoint! They were super easy to hold all afternoon as I did my spring cleaning in my back yard, and were able to get through some pretty gnarly branches that I was expecting to have to use my larger loppers for. They were exactly what I needed and already feel like they will outlast my old ones by a long shot. I will definitely be getting more of their tools!

We have a tiny dog staying with us, and our backyard was quite overgrown and sometimes we couldn't see him. So we got these and every time we take him out to potty, we fight over who gets to cut things. It goes through 2" trunks of mini trees popping up, but you have to do 1/2 and then rotate and do the other side.I absolutely love the improvements. And this is a great tool!!!
