I used this butyl tape under the flange piece when replacing my roof vent on my travel trailer. It worked great. The backing came ofd easily and in mostly one piece. I used two side by side strips of tape on the bottom of the flange. Again, it worked perfect. I then used Doctor LAP sealant over the edge of the flange and screws. I am not sure of the poor reviews on this? My product performed excellent.

Comes well packaged with each roll in its own box including foam inserts to keep circle of putty tape from misshaping during transport & storage. This is very important as putty tape can be easily squished to the point that it becomes quite difficult to use. The putty tape is very pliable & forms easily to the contours of Rv aluminum trim. Can be trimmed after install. I used a vinyl putty tool with rounded corners (I these plastic rectangles are sold to work & shape auto body putty) so I would not damage the finish of my truck canopy’s aluminum skin. It takes time & effort to trim but can be done. This putty is a light gray shade which compliments the color of regular finish aluminum trim as well as the painted silver grey aluminum skin on my project.

I recently had to gut and repair the front end of my almost new camper after I found some unsealed rusted screws and water damaged boards. This was exactly what I needed to reseal the corners and trim. It was exactly the right color, very easy to use, packaged well, and has held up flawlessly for over three months now. Great purchase. Exactly what I was looking for.

Applies easily, very sticky adhesive, and looks like a quality product. Time will tell how well it will keep out the rain.

This stuff comes in a box which is great because it will survive shipping and storage. It is also easy to work with. I compared it to another product (Lippert - which was also very good), and this stuff was a lot more stretchy, so I am probably going to use this. The Lippert product is good also, but this one seems like a winner for now.There are a large number of choices out there, but if you buy this product, I think you will be happy with it.

This appears to be a good product but improper handling in warm weather will distort and melt the material. It was delivered in the manufactures box not Amazon packaging which may have prevented it from damage.I’ve reordered and hopefully it will arrive in usable condition

I purchased a third brake light and with the foam and adhesive it leaked when rained. so. I used this and no leaks and sealed great. best stuff ever.

i tried several and this is by far the best, best formed and grips well, and plenty to make the skylight, window frame, followed the instructions and kept it in the fridge prior to application and a beautiful result
