Why the protractor doesn't show data normally after reinstalling the battery or every time zero thr ruler？
Please close the ruler completely and then press the "ON/OFF/ZERO" button. Otherwise next time you open, the data on LCD display is not a right one. As is the same when you reinstall the battery.
The protractor will be based on the current position when you zero it at any angle.

The locking nut is hard to undo but it needs to be tight to hold in place other wise it slips a couple of degrees while moving it in place other than that I like it.

I wanted this to measure the precise angle between the walls of an inside corner so that I could make an L shaped shelf out of a single piece of wood. I knew the walls were not quite at a right angle because I put my L-Square in the corner and the walls did not line up with both edges.After I calibrated the Digital Angle Ruler (according to the instructions), I opened it and placed the edges against my L-Square and was surprised to find that it measured slightly less than 89.25 degrees (it should have read exactly 90 degrees. Although I very much doubted that my L-Square was not a true 90 degrees, I went to my son's house and checked the Digital Angle Ruler against his L-Square, and once again it read slightly less than 89.25 degrees.This may seem like a small error to some people, but when it comes to woodworking, it is, in fact, a very large error. I am returning this because it is absolutely useless to me.

In all honesty this tool is not accurate. I will keep it as it has been opened now but it is about 1º out . Some may say that is not much but if a person uses it to cut angles in wood, the angles will be way off when you glue together. I tried it against two verified squares and on a 90º square it shows 89º . I reset a few times and get the same reading.
