It’s 120% not plug and play. Plugged it into my windows computer and nothing happened. Searched the web for the correct drivers and they don’t even have this product on their website. Spent an hour trying to find the drivers to no avail

My spouse wanted to upgrade his 10 year old cac reader and we chose thing one. He said it worked perfectly. We used it with a windows/HP laptop and desktop. (Active duty so this was compatible with a sponsor/soldier cac)
