you get a lot of pieces for the price, but they are not the highest quality. i needed to clean out a fine thread hole and this was one of the only sets with the correct size tap. it worked fine but it was just aluminum. if you will be using these everyday i would get a better quality set

This set provides far more sizes than I typically see in tap and die sets. Metric sizes are covered as well as SAE (USA). The handle are nice and sturdy. Value is excellent.I strongly endorse this product.

Ditch your harbor freight set and get this. I am restoring a 1995 Mazda RX-7 and got tired of searching for tap sizes not included with the harbor freight set that I needed. This has it all.

I opened this product to extreme disappointment. These "Hardened Steel" taps are gummed up on multiple taps including the ones I immediately needed making them useless. It should be noted that hardened steel is generally brittle which means it should not be able to gum up like this. As such I doubt these taps will last long if you happen to get some that work.I was also disappointed in that the taps do not stay clipped into the case when you open/shut it. One of the main reasons for getting such a large tap set was having a singular organized place to store them. This does not do that. Harbor freight taps are an upgrade from these ones. Its going back.

Did my crankshaft threads with little effort. Couldn’t find 16 1.5 anywhere else ..! Saved me lots of troubles and lots cheaper than going to a machinist. A+. this very complete set is great! I can’t believe how difficult it has become for do it yourselfers nowadays, parts are obsolete and repairing has become a challenge. When will industry cooperate with functions and stop filling landfill sites with one off parts I wonder? Think of headlights shapes, battery sizes, I mean if housing market followed the auto industry what would a water pipe or light switch transform into each month?

The Case is useless. Everything falls out if you carry it normally by the candle. Took me 1/2 an hour to put all the pieces back in their places even when I FIRST got it. Seeing the size on pieces is difficult. Spend a bit more and get a better set than this one.
