I'm impressed with this chuck. I mainly bought it for the large jaws and it's been working great and the runout is good too. The only thing I think they could improve on is the gripping surface on the inside of the small jaws is very smooth with no dovetail. I took some coarse sandpaper and roughed it up and it worked fine. I would definitely recommend this chuck.

The lathe chuck works great for a hobbiest woodworker but is not a precision tool. I would recomend to a hobby woodworker. Great product for small turning projects.

I put it on my Grizzly 10 x 18 lathe and it works just fine. I’m no expert and not a daily user but for the hobby guy trying to save a few bucks, it’s gets the job done!

I've been using the heck out of this, swapping jaws and clamping heavy pieces of green wood. Jaws are easy to change, but the dovetails on the jaws aren't very aggressive. If you clamp down good and hard they hold as long as you cut the proper taper in.I wish I had two so I didn't have to swap jaws. After two dozen or so bowls these appear to be grabbing tight and continuing to work well

I like this product because it holds onto what ever I put onto it. The jaws appear even as they open and close o6 yn items.?

I have only used it a handful of times so far but I love it. It holds the wood extremely well and is easy to work with. I will not use the original chuck any more.

Works well. As other's have noted there is some runout. Mine has 5 thousands side to side at the housing. Jaws were just under 12 thousands. Here is a trick I found to possibly reduce jaw runout for you. Each jaw and chuck quarter is numbered (1,2,3,and 4) if your jaw runout is excessive, try moving the jaws one number higher. So #1 jaw is mounted on #2 spot, #2 on #3 etc. Then check your runout at the jaws. I have to start with #1 jaw on #3 spot and have 2 thousands jaw runout(large jaws) and 1.5 thousands (small jaws). A fine tip marker renumbered each jaw to make sure I get them right each time they are mounnted. It would be nice to have the pin jaws as well and not have to do another order.
