Ordered this kit to get rid of the wires hanging from our ceiling fan and it worked great. The remote is small enough to easily fit inside the housing that holds all the wires at the top of the fan. The installation took about 15 minutes. The remote control did not come with the CR2032 battery but it did come with a nice holder to install in a fixed location. I am very please with this remote and will be adding it to the rest of my fans around the house.

Went to a lot of trouble taking down the fan/lamp.Then putting it back up.Only to find out this thing doesn't work.

The receiver worked perfectly. The remote is better than the original that came with our ceiling fan.Easy to install.

The replacement remote worked correctly and solved the problem. I would recommend the unit.The cost was reasonable and installation was relatively straightforward as a DYI challenge. After speaking with a technician I learned that evidently this is not an uncommon problem for remote controlled ceiling fans.
