Excellent guidescope

Excellent guidescope

Using this guidescope with my imaging scope I've been able to lower the total RMS error in my guiding, which should lead to collecting better images for later processing. I'm quite pleased with my purchase and recommend it to others without reservation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and clear guide scope with solid mount.

Nice and clear guide scope with solid mount

Clear optics and rock solid construction. The amount of back focus in the photo, is about what I need for focus. The mounts that accompanied the scope are very nice but I swapped mine out for a set of Losmandy d/v rail mounts. I am going to order another one for my 11" SCT. This one is for my RASA8.

The adjustable dew sheild is a nice touch even though I most likely will have it all the way out the adjustment rings are well made and this should be a much better match for my C8 for guiding than the 60mm I have been using which was working very well but thought I would give this a shot only thing I don't like so far is the helical focuser isn't a perfect fit were it screws on there is a ever so slight of a gap indicating the threads on the draw tube are to long for the adapter on the focuser but will not hurt the performance one bit just a slight cosmetic issue. But I had to really look for something wrong to find that haven't had a chance to evaluate the optics yet but I'm looking forward to some clear skies to try it out. So far it seems to be well worth the money and a good buy will update if it proves otherwise 😉
